LIAN LI announced the Twitter this morning the release of the company’s V3000 PLUS PC case, which launches today.
LIAN LI unveils V3000 PLUS PC Chassis, a full-featured dual-tower PC case with 480mm triple rad support
First, let’s go back a bit to nine months ago on LIAN LI’s Youtube account, where the company was producing a Digital Expo 2022 for users and fans of the brand.
The company introduced the LIAN LI Lancool III and V3000 PLUS during this first part of their two-part series. Around 6:30 am they start discussing the V3000 PLUS chassis in total, reminding them that this case is the largest chassis the manufacturer offers to its customers.
The Lian Li V3000 Plus chassis is large enough to accommodate two separate systems and a wide range of cooling configurations. Another feature mentioned is the ability for multiple power supplies and storage options. Of course, this also depends on the design of the components.
The case is adorned in a black colourway with a thin RGB stripe that shimmers across the front, giving that elegance and regal look to the dot and branding. However, this is not our first appearance in this case. The company previously showcased the V3000 PLUS at the 2021 LIAN LI Digital Expo, and some customers are frustrated that the issue hasn’t been released yet. The previews on Twitter this morning give hope that this case will finally see the hands of the company’s fans.
Part of LIAN LI’s delay is continual modifications to make the best possible case for users, providing many features. One of the changes to the case mentioned in the video is that the top and front mesh panels combine aluminum accents to give the case a more uniform and secure look. LIAN LI also optimized the case panels for the most efficient and adequate airflow.
The right side panel is now tempered glass to match the left side panel, an increasingly common feature among PC users. The reasoning is that the company limits an overabundance of side fans added to a PC rig, which can affect overall performance and power consumption. Both panels can be opened via a push-lock mechanism, eliminating the need to lose screws when removing and placing panels in place.
The rear of the Lian Li V3000 Plus allows the bracket to be reversed to utilize a wider range of radiator and fan configurations, providing better access for more users. LIAN LI also removed the remote control option because users felt that this opportunity was unnecessary. Now on the top of the case, the company has opted for multiple USB Type-A sockets, two USB Type-C sockets, HD Audio and Mic ports and LED control buttons. To the right of the ports, there’s a system switch with a power and reset button in the middle. The system switch will allow users to switch between multiple systems inside the case.
Users may not notice it, but under the front of the case, the LIAN LI logo is projected on the surface of the desktop, which is an uncommon feature with other brands and is a unique accent. Users can add up to four hard drives or SSDs to the system under the main chamber near the power supply unit compartment. However, users can move them to the main component room, next to the motherboard, if the user wishes. Hot-swappable memory can be added as a feature if users prefer this option for their drives.
Finally, four tool-less SSD carriers have been added to hold slim SSD drives, which will sit under the main motherboard and spaced far enough apart to keep temperatures low. The video also announces that the case will be available in May, which has been postponed until tomorrow. The reasons for the delay are unknown, but this case is sure to please several PC users.
The price is unknown, but considering the size and additional features of the Lian Li V3000 Plus, it is reasonable to assume that the case will be premium for users with a significant cost. We’ll update you with pricing and more information after tomorrow’s embargo releases.
