BluWave-ai Launches SaaS Product EV Fleet Orchestrator for Fleet Operations – NGT News

BluWave-ai EV Fleet Orchestrator version 2.0 was released with the support of $1.7 million in co-funding from FedDev Ontario. Available now, this software-as-a-service (SaaS) product helps fleet operators electrify their operations. These operators include municipal transit, last-mile delivery, airport ground handling, corporate vehicle fleets, and electric vehicle (EV) fleet operations, such as taxis.

Built on BluWave-ai’s established AI energy optimization platform and leveraging its portfolio of IP technologies, the EV Fleet Orchestrator reduces the overall cost of operations and the carbon footprint of fleet operations with dual-battery, fossil-fuel electric vehicles short of buildings, depots or regional networks of depots/hubs. The product manages the live operation of EV transport systems, including vehicle operation and building/depot electricity usage management, including real-time market price management and targets peak reduction.

The product also provides simulation of fleet operations to help properly plan and size capital assets such as number/types of chargers, number of electric vehicles and energy storage in depot, and energy production local renewable.

BluWave-ai’s EV Fleet Orchestrator optimizes energy costs in real time by consolidating the many parameters of energy and fleet operations, providing a holistic view and coordinated energy dispatch/control of charging, scheduling and of static energy. This optimization includes managing peak loads at depots to minimize network demand and infrastructure capital requirements. It integrates data from weather feeds, building electrical systems, electricity market prices, chargers, traffic, vehicle telematics and information including state of charge, location, vehicle speed and range. These datasets are acquired live and from historical operations integrated with BluWave-ai Atlas to enable them to be AI-ready for EV fleet orchestration.

“Over the past five years, BluWave-ai has built here in Ottawa one of the world’s leading companies at the intersection of renewable energy, transportation electrification, decarbonization, data and technology. ‘artificial intelligence,’ said Devashish Paul, CEO and Founder of BluWave-ai. “We are leveraging the talent of Canadian artificial intelligence researchers, leveraging our patent-protected power grid optimization software product, to solve the toughest and most pressing climate change challenges with our global customer base. .

“We see all the CAPEX on EV fleets, but fleet operators leave EVs parked,” Paul continues. “They’re sending miles of diesel down the road because they don’t know exactly when to recharge and when to drive. With this $1.7 million grant from Fed Dev Ontario, we’ll be able to increase the capabilities of our produces EV Fleet Orchestrator AI with fleet operators in Canadian, US, European and Indian markets.

To date, BluWave-ai has completed the analysis and simulation of Dubai Taxi’s fleet operations, which showed an initial 13% reduction in emissions and energy costs as an example of the benefits for fee-paying fleet operators. In addition to building the SaaS product, BluWave-ai tested the technology in its OCPP-controlled charger live lab, The Flight Test Center, integrated with multiple chargers where functionality is tested and stabilized prior to live fleet operations.

FedDev Ontario is offering an interest-free repayable loan of $1.7 million as part of a larger $6 million project. This support subsidizes testing, bringing the BluWave-ai EV Fleet Orchestrator the best playback-ready stage for multiple global markets. It will also create an additional 50 jobs with funding from a private investor and a private investor under BluWave-ai’s current Series A.

“Businesses are at the heart of our communities across the country. That’s why FedDev Ontario is investing in technology companies like BluWave-ai that are creating the tools our businesses need to adapt to a new digital and energy-efficient future,” said the Honorable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for Federal Economic Development Agency. for southern Ontario. “Helping businesses innovate so they can increase their competitiveness and create quality jobs will continue to be a priority for our government. Investments like these ensure that tech hubs like Ottawa continue to attract new investment and contribute to a growing economy.

“Ottawa’s tech industry has been at the forefront of transforming a variety of industries ranging from telecommunications and networking to AI and cloud-based software solutions,” adds Michael Tremblay, President and CEO of Invest Ottawa. “With BluWave-ai, we are excited to lead the global energy transition by combining all of these skills that Ottawa is famous for and using them to impact climate impact with renewable energy and electric vehicles. As the rest of the world prepares for COP27, BluWave-ai has already brought together many of the key product building blocks to drive the energy transition globally by leveraging key local engineering talent based in our city. .
